The Police Civilian Staff Club (PCSC) held its Annual General Meeting (AGM) at the Police Headquarters on June 26 to review the activities organised by the PCSC in the past year. Apart from interest classes, such as Tai Chi, stretching, aerobic dance, yoga, ukulele, singing, cookery, the PCSC also endeavoured to organise novel activities, such as workshops on Zentangle art, balloon twisting and lip balm making for the first time last year.

In support of the Force’s Strategic Direction of “Policing with the Community”, the PCSC encourages members to participate in volunteer services to serve various sectors of the community, such as the elderly, children and juvenile, so as to reach the wider community to secure greater public trust and support. Services participated by the PCSC volunteer team in the past year included the “Caring Company Partnership Expo”, “Community for the Chest”, “Astronomy in the Mall”, “HK Territory-wide Youths Painting Day”, elderly home visits, and so forth. With the staunch support from members, the PCSC volunteer team, currently comprising more than 430 members, performed over 11 000 hours of volunteer service in 2019. A total of 54 volunteers were also awarded the Volunteer Service Certificates by the Social Welfare Department.

Twenty-three members of the 2020-2021 General Committee of the PCSC, were elected at the AGM. Despite the challenges brought about from the social unrest and the outbreak of COVID-19, the PCSC would continue to promote the interest and welfare of members.
