The Force attaches great importance to the occupational safety and health (OSH) of all the staff members and has been taking actions to mitigate and manage identified risks by providing the necessary protection to all staff members.

Since the outbreak of COVID-19, the Force has been liaising closely with the Department of Health with a view to keeping abreast of the latest situation of COVID-19 infection and ensuring all protective measures being adopted in the Force can effectively meet our needs from an operational and OSH perspective.

In late August, the Government announced the expansion of the COVID-19 Target Group Testing to cover eligible staff members of the Force. Between August 25 and 31, Support Wing arranged private testing service provider to conduct on-site specimen collection at designated police premises and to provide COVID-19 testing services.

It is encouraging to note the active participation of the staff members in the test, which will ultimately enhance the Government’s anti-epidemic strategy of “Early Testing and Detection”. The Force also takes the opportunity to thank for the support and professionalism displayed by the medical staff and testing service provider during the specimen collection and testing service.
