Schools have been conducting online teaching to students due to the COVID-19 outbreak. In view of this, Kwun Tong District Junior Police Call (KTDIST JPC), in collaboration with The Boys’ & Girls’ Clubs Association of Hong Kong, invited JPC members to serve as tutors to conduct online small group teaching for over 10 non-ethnic Chinese (NEC) students between July and August.

The JPC members, who are university students, provided homework guidance services for NEC students and offered Chinese classes to them at upper primary and junior secondary levels. The teaching hours were no less than 10 hours per week.

The JPC members were glad that they could offer assistance to students with learning needs. The NEC students gave positive feedback on the small group teaching as it not only facilitated the learning process but also made the online classes more interesting.
