The Emergency Unit of Kowloon East (EU KE), with the assistance of the Regional Crime Prevention Office and police districts of KE, has launched a community counter-terrorism (CT) project entitled “KE Shopping Mall Awareness and Responsiveness Training Programme Against Domestic Terrorism” since mid-August.

Under the programme, seminars, workshops and practical exercises are conducted in phases for managers and frontline security personnel of shopping malls in KE, with a view to enhancing their awareness and responsiveness in handling terrorist situations, boosting their capability of identifying suspicious persons and objects, as well as developing a long-term partnership between the malls and the Force in counter-terrorism. EU KE will continue to provide support and training to the malls in KE, in order to strengthen their cooperation with the Force in maintaining public order and safety.
