During summer holidays, Yau Tsim District Junior Police Call (YTDIST JPC) organised a surgical mask envelope design competition to raise the anti-epidemic awareness among students through art. Parents were invited to join the competition with their children to enhance parent-child relationship.

All primary schools and young JPC members in YTDIST were invited to take part in the competition. Students could apply through their schools or by themselves in the open section. The competition received an overwhelming response, with about 400 designs received from the primary and open sections.

The judging panel, comprising Chairman of YTDIST JPC Honorary President Council Mr Chan Ming-yiu, YTDIST Commander Yeung Man-pun and Deputy Commander Wong Chi-wai, selected the overall champion design. They complimented that all entries were of very high quality with great creativity and fabulous designs and techniques. The overall champion design will be printed on surgical mask envelopes, while other winning entries will be printed on different promotional materials. These items will be distributed to schools and the community.
