On September 4, the Police Community Relations Officer of Tai Po District (TPDIST) and Officer-in-charge of TPDIST Investigation Team 11 were invited by Chairperson of Hong Kong Securities Professionals Association (HKSPA) Ms Lee Sai-yin to conduct a webinar to share knowledge of initial response to financial technology crimes and relevant preventive measures with about 270 members of HKSPA.


The webinar consisted of sharing sessions held by officers from TPDIST Investigation Team 11 and E-security Audit and Incident Response Team of the Cyber Security and Technology Crime Bureau, and the representative of Hong Kong Computer Emergency Response Team Coordination Centre, covering the topics on “Enhancing Due Diligence of Securities Companies”, “Protection against Phishing attack” and “Cyber Security and Response for Fintech Industry”. The webinar enabled members of HKSPA to learn about the prevailing financial technology crime trend as well as the tips on prevention and initial response to cyber attack.
