Commander Lam Hung-chuen and Deputy Commander Liauw Ka-kei of Central District (CDIST), together with Chairman of CDIST Junior Police Call Honorary President Council Mr David Tong, Chairman of CDIST Senior Police Call Honorary President Council Mr Kamson Lam and Honorary President Dr Malcolm Lam, paid a courtesy visit to Jamia Mosque at Shelley Street in Central on October 6, with a view to disseminating anti-crime and anti-epidemic messages, and showing care to the Muslim community by donating some anti-epidemic supplies.


During the visit, leaders of the local Muslim community, Mr Saeed Uddin, Mr Zoheir Tyebkhan and the Imam of Jamia Mosque Mr Mufti Abdul Zaman introduced the history of the Mosque and Islamic traditions. The visit enhanced officers’ understanding about Islamic culture and religion.
