The Anti-Deception Coordination Centre (ADCC) of the Commercial Crime Bureau participated in the first Global Online Scam Summit on November 12. Representatives from law enforcement agencies, Internet service platforms and consumer protection agencies joined the webinar to talk about their experiences in fighting online scams and discuss how to fight cybercrime more effectively on a global level by sharing insights, knowledge and data.

Senior Inspector Chan Wing-yee of ADCC briefed the particpants on the main functions of ADCC, introduced the International Stop Payment Mechanism and shared successful cases. In view of the prevalence of cybercrime, Ms Chan encouraged the participants to work together to combat transnational financial crimes.
