To enhance the ability of school teaching staff to prevent and identify crimes involving teenagers, Yau Tsim District (YTDIST) and Mong Kok District (MKDIST) co-organised a “Caring about Students Together” seminar for principals and teaching staff from a total of 32 primary and secondary schools in Yau Tsim Mong district on November 20.

During the seminar, representatives of the Family Conflict and Sexual Violence Policy Unit, the Anti-Deception Coordination Centre and the Police Negotiation Cadre (PNC) were invited to give presentations to analyse recent crime trends and introduce ways to prevent teenagers from falling prey to crime. Volunteers of PNC shared their experiences in engaging with teenagers, helping the audience to learn more about the mentality and thoughts of teenagers. In addition, officers of the Police Public Relations Branch also introduced the future development plans of the Junior Police Call and promoted a series of activities for primary and secondary school students.
