The Knowledge Management team of Marine Region ran a Knowledge Café (Marine Policing) on the theme of “Case Handling and Investigation on Endangering the Safety of Others at Sea” on November 13 at the Marine Regional Headquarters, attracting the attendance of more than 100 sea-going and crime officers of Marine Region.


The seminar was conducted by officers who had practical work experience in case handling, including Commander of Patrol Sub-unit 3 of Marine East Division Wong Sin-hang as well as Senior Inspector Tam Hon-wing, Police Constables Yip Nga-man and Kwok Tsz-kin from Regional Crime Unit 3. They shared their valuable experience and knowledge on case handling, investigation and the relevant legislations on “Endangering the Safety of Others at Sea” with the attendees.


The seminar enabled frontline officers to gain a better understanding of frontline case handling techniques, evidence collection, subsequent investigation and case processing. It also enhanced the mutual cooperation between Uniform Branch and crime officers.
