In February, the Regional Crime Prevention Office of Kowloon East (RCPO KE) participated in a pet fair organised by the pet industry with a view to promoting the Force’s newly launched Animal Watchers Programme (AWP), as well as sharing successful cases of the Police’s investigation on animal cruelty cases and relevant legislation.

Through interactive games, distribution of leaflets and case sharing at the pet fair, RCPO KE officers and AWP Watchers hoped to raise the awareness of the public and pet owners of the importance of safeguarding animals, thereby creating a culture of respect to the lives of animals. RCPO KE will continue to work closely with AWP Watchers to engage with the public and cultivate an animal friendly environment in the region.
