The Counter Terrorism Response Unit (CTRU), the Airport Security Unit (ASU) and Small Boat Division (SBDIV) of Marine Region conducted joint counter-terrorism training at Kai Tak Cruise Terminal (KTCT) on March 3 to enhance the coordination capability and operational competence of officers.

During the training, KTCT mimicked a terminal building of the Hong Kong International Airport (HKIA). CTRU, ASU and SBDIV conducted a drill simulating terrorists infiltrating the terminal building from the harbour. The officers swiftly responded to the incident and formulated a sweeping plan. They eventually cleared the terminal building and subdued all armed terrorists. The joint training strengthened the communication and cooperation among the three units.
