The Police Mentorship Programme (PMP) 2020/21 Closing Ceremony cum Inauguration Ceremony 2021/22 was held at the Police Headquarters on April 30. Director of Personnel and Training (DPT) Chow Yat-ming, Assistant Commissioner (Personnel) Chan Man-tak, representatives of 11 universities, and over 200 mentors and mentees participated in the ceremony. Representatives of the Force and the universities officiated at the ceremony to kick off the programme this year. During the ceremony, activities of the past year were reviewed and the upcoming ones were previewed.


In his opening speech, DPT appreciated the continued support of the participating universities and mentors. He encouraged mentees to participate more in PMP activities and job attachment programmes to interact with mentors, understand the duties of different police units, develop independent thinking and enhance their competitiveness.


This year marks the 18th anniversary of PMP. Currently, 180 mentors are leading 198 mentees and sharing their work and life experiences with the mentees.
