Assistant Commissioner (Operations) (ACP OPS) Chan Joon-sun, accompanied by Commandant of the Police Tactical Unit (PTU) Chan Kin-kwok, officiated at the Grand Opening of the “Precious Memory” Museum at the Police Tactical Unit Headquarters (PTU HQ) on August 18.


The “Precious Memory” Museum, which was converted from a barber shop, displays around 150 sets of exhibits and nearly 60 historic photographs to preserve the history of PTU. To demonstrate the spirit of the “Blue Berets”, different exhibits and photographs will be displayed under various themes from time to time.


Addressing the ceremony, ACP OPS congratulated the opening of the museum which displays a rich collection of exhibits to showcase the glorious history of PTU. Apart from showing his appreciation to PTU HQ staff for the preparatory work of the museum, he also thanked colleagues for sparing no effort in sourcing valuable exhibits and historic photographs. In addition, he expressed his gratitude to all PTU officers for their unswerving efforts in various major operations and encouraged them to maintain a positive attitude to face future challenges.
