Safeguarding national security is the mission of each and every police officer. The National Security Department (NSD) endeavours to promote national security within the Force, in this regard, NSD produced the “NSmart Package” which was delivered to all Major Formation Commanders and Formation Commanders in early October. The package would further enhance commanders’ national security knowledge, and assist them in setting up a national security corner or organising related activities in their respective formations, with an aim of promoting the concept of national security at different levels of the Force.

NSD has also planned to extend the “NSmart Online Quiz”, currently set up at the Force Library in the Police Headquarters, to all formations at the district level, starting from the Constitution Day on December 4 this year. After answering questions relating to national security, officers can receive a NSD souvenir by scanning a QR Code at the souvenir dispenser. The NSmart Package contains a lot of informative materials on national security, including six selected books, creative quiz cards, NSD souvenirs, as well as a USB drive containing files on national security information, in particular, the booklist of the “Force National Security Book and Publication Corner”, e-files of national security display panels and the e-version of “NS Knowledge”. Officers are welcome to take part in the “NSmart Online Quiz” to get a souvenir from the souvenir dispenser.
