A total of 58 awards were presented to over 140 awardees at the ceremony. The lists of awardees were released on the Police Intranet (POINT) and the Force Noticeboard.

Police Staff Suggestions Scheme

The Police Staff Suggestions Scheme encourages officers to raise suggestions for improving and streamlining operational and managerial workflows, and motivates them to unleash their innovative potential. Among the 475 proposals received by SQW last year, the adjudication panel selected 13 awards, including the Gold, Silver, Bronze and Merit Awards.

Force Mobile Application Design Competition

The Innovation and Solution Lab of ISW held the first Force Mobile Application Design Competition to encourage colleagues to use their creativity. Under the theme of “Technology for Better Service”, the competition attracted the participation of over 70 teams. The adjudication panel selected the Gold, Silver, Bronze and Merit Awards, the Best Innovative Idea Award, the Best Graphic Design Award, the Best Process Re-engineering Award, the Best Application of Emergent Technologies Award and 12 Special Mention Awards, based on the user interface design, the innovation of technology application as well as the improvement on service and processes.

P-TV Short Film Competition

The P-TV Short Film Competition utilised P-TV, the Force’s internal video platform launched by ISW, to encourage Force members to share their original aspiration of joining the Force. Force members were invited to produce three-minute short films to share their stories of overcoming challenges in daily work by holding on to their original aspiration. Colleagues were encouraged to show their support for the short films by giving “likes” on P-TV. The adjudication panel selected 21 awards, including the Gold, Silver, Bronze and Merit Awards, the Most Liked Awards, the Best Actor, the Best Actress, the Best Supporting Actor, as well as a number of Professional Review Awards, based on the film content, the resonance of the original aspiration, creativity, production and acting skills.
