The Narcotics Bureau (NB) hosted two anti-drug workshops for the Hong Kong Federation of Youth Groups and Lawyers HK at the Police Headquarters on November 4 and 6 respectively, to explain anti-drug information to around 30 social workers as well as 50 lawyers and their children. The workshops aimed to strengthen participants’ knowledge and professionalism in handling drug cases involving youngsters.

During the workshops, NB officers displayed drug dummies, drug taking tools and a drug scent simulator to the participants and talked about the latest drug trend and drug cases involving minors. The social workers and lawyers also shared their experiences in handling drug trafficking cases involving youngsters.

Apart from facilitating the exchange of ideas between NB and the relevant stakeholders, the workshops also enhanced the participants’ ability in detecting signs of drug abuse to prevent youngsters from going astray. NB will continue to engage with other stakeholders to disseminate anti-drug messages to the public.
