As part of the Force Strategic Planning Process, the Service Quality Wing organised the Commissioner Rank Officers’ Strategic Planning Conference on November 25 at the Police Officers’ Club.

In his opening speech, Commissioner Siu Chak-yee stated that the purpose of the conference was to critically evaluate and discuss the strategic issues identified so far in the strategic planning process. Due to changes in the operating environment, he stressed that this strategic planning cycle is almost certainly the most important one deliberated so far.

During the conference, attendees were required to examine and risk assess a range of strategic issues that are likely to directly affect the Force in the future. They were also tasked to formulate different approaches to address these strategic issues, so that the Force can continue to strive for excellence in the years ahead.

The attendees actively discussed and deliberated on those strategic issues. A frank and fruitful exchange of views took place, the results of which will be used by the Commissioner and the Senior Directorate Group for setting the next Strategic Directions in their Strategic Planning Review Conference to be held in January 2022.
