The Marine Police Officers’ Mess has been working closely with the Hong Kong Maritime Museum to promote the work of Marine Region stretching over the past 179 years to keep Hong Kong’s waters safe. Items from the memorabilia collection of the mess have been regularly loaned to the museum for display. In order to enhance their collaboration, Regional Commander of Marine David Jordan and Director of the Hong Kong Maritime Museum Professor Joost Schokkenbroek signed a Memorandum of Understanding on November 23.

Both parties look forward to working together to further promote the history of maritime law enforcement through preserving and publicly displaying the former Police Vessel 70, a training vessel that was converted from a confiscated speedboat “Daai Fei”, as well as to honour all officers who have made the ultimate sacrifice in the execution of their duties on the waters of Hong Kong.
