Regional Commander of Kowloon West (RC KW) Rupert Dover officiated at the opening ceremony of the newly renovated Kowloon West Regional Higher Command (KW HICOM) on November 26.

To enhance the command capabilities and operational efficiency of KW HICOM, as well as to support the Force’s Strategic Direction of “Embracing the Use of Technology for Policing in the Digital Age”, KW HICOM had undergone a 15-month renovation project to restructure the layout of KW HICOM and its associated functional rooms, enlarge the LED TV walls, and set up a centralised control panel for operating the station defence system of the KW Regional Headquarters.

RC KW attributed the successful completion of the refurbished KW HICOM to the concerted effort of officers from KW Region, the Communications Branch, the Information Technology Branch and the Planning and Development Branch, as well as other relevant stakeholders. He also encouraged officers to equip themselves for meeting the challenges ahead.
