Two small patrol cars have been introduced to replace the retired Mitsubishi iMiEVs since March.

The two newly introduced Suzuki Hustler, dubbed “small patrol cars”, belong to the Peak Division and Cheung Chau Division respectively. The geographical environments of the Peak and Cheung Chau are distinctive as the roads are narrow. The Transport Division of Traffic Branch Headquarters has successively introduced compact patrol cars to meet the operational needs of the Divisions. The new cars are 3 395mm, 1 475mm and 1 680mm in length, width and height respectively, which are significantly smaller than a Police saloon car, but they can still carry one driver and three officers on duty.

With its unique small size, the small patrol car arouses widespread attention from the public soon after its appearance at the Peak. The small patrol car of Cheung Chau Division is currently parked at Marine Regional Headquarters and will be transported to Cheung Chau to serve the public after the first inspection.
