Tuen Mun District (TMDIST) promotes the “Law and Love” Project among schools in the district through activities of diversified nature for the teachers and students to know more about policing work, for the youngsters to enhance their awareness of being law-abiding, and for the Force and schools to strengthen their relationship.

On August 10, officers from TMDIST and Inter-Departmental Counter Terrorism Unit (ICTU) visited CCC Hoh Fuk Tong College to promote counter terrorism (CT) public education among over 800 teachers and students. Various booths with the theme “Safe Community” were set up. Through games and equipment exhibition, CT messages on “Run, Hide, Report”, “Three Basic Skills on Emergency Preparedness” and “Spot and Report” were explained. Officers from ICTU and Emergency Unit of New Territories North, together with 30 students, gave a demonstration on “Run, Hide, Report” emergency response.

The participating students and teachers said after the activity that the experience they gained from it allowed them to have a better understanding about the “Law and Love” Project, ICTU and the joint efforts to build a safe community.

The Force never slackens its effort in CT. It will maintain regular exercise and training to enhance the officers’ readiness and capabilities in handling emergency, and join hands with the public to prevent terrorism activities.
