The Police Volleyball Club (PVC) held the “Celebration of 25th Anniversary of Hong Kong’s Return to the Motherland” (25A) Light Volleyball Invitation Competition at the Police Sports and Recreation Club (PSRC) on August 14. Ten teams formed by over 80 athletes joined the competition. The police teams won the first runners-up in the female division and the first and second runners-up in the male division respectively. PVC Chairperson Tse Tsui-yan, PVC Vice Chairperson Lau Ko-chun, together with Honorary Vice Presidents of PVC Dr Lam Wai-wing, Mr Lai Chun-tung and Mr Ma Ka-chun, showed support to the athletes and presented trophies to the winning teams.

Light volleyball, being lighter and larger than the standard volleyball, is easier to control. The moderate amount of exercise in playing light volleyball is suitable for players of all ages. The Police Volleyball teams conduct training at PSRC from 7pm to 10pm every Thursday. Force members and their families interested in joining may email to hkpvc.hkp@gmail.com.
