The Juvenile Protection Section of Regional Crime Prevention Office of New Territories North, in partnership with Hong Kong Federation of Youth Groups, on International Dog Day (August 26) accompanied a group of teenagers to visit the dogs at Daniel Dog Training Centre in Shui Mei Tsuen of Kam Tin, Yuen Long and toured the Centre. The dog trainers shared their career life and experience in getting along with dogs. In addition to watching the guard dogs’ bite-and-arrest show and the search dogs’ performances, the participating youths also learned how to walk a dog properly. They had the chance to interact and take pictures with the dogs as well. Apart from raising the teenagers’ awareness of animal care, the activity also enhanced their understanding of the industry to facilitate their future planning.
