With a view to enhancing the maritime skills and professional knowledge of the officers, Marine Region held the annual Seamanship Competition at Tui Min Hoi Marine Operational Base on September 9. The theme of this year’s competition was “Rescue”. The contesting teams were assessed in term of efficiency and safety in maritime rescue and equipment handling. A quiz was also held to test the contestants’ knowledge on maritime legislation and police procedures. Officers across the Region with different marine qualifications were sent to compete against one another.
