Deputy Regional Commander of New Territories North (DRC NTN) Mak Wai-man inspected the passing-out parade of 29 Recruit Police Constables (Auxiliary) as the Reviewing Officer at the headquarters of the Hong Kong Auxiliary Police Force (HKAPF) on October 8. The graduates came from various professions, including engineering, information technology, education and civil services, as well as students joining via the Auxiliary Undergraduate Scheme.


In her speech, DRC NTN praised auxiliary officers for their continuous support to regular officers. The unfortunate infection suffered by many regular officers during the epidemic had severe impact on frontline duties. It was lucky that auxiliary officers performed their duties steadfastly with exceptional courage and commitment, fully demonstrating the spirit of “Serving Hong Kong with Honour, Duty and Loyalty”. She also thanked auxiliary officers for taking part actively in major events, including the Chief Executive election, operation on the 25th Anniversary of HKSAR and the National Day. Over 3 700 auxiliary officers participated in these operations, serving as a solid backup for regular officers, fully demonstrating the solidarity of the regular and auxiliary police forces in maintaining law and order.
