Mong Kok District (MKDIST), MKDIST Junior Police Call (JPC) and A ‘Share & Learn’ Crescent, a non-profit organisation (NPO), jointly held the launching ceremony of the “Adaptive English with Fun” online course on October 28. Commissioner Siu Chak-yee, District Commander of MKDIST Ng Chi-chung, Chairperson of MKDIST JPC Honorary President Council cum Chairperson of Yau Tsim Mong District Fight Crime Committee Ms Chan Heung-lin and MKDIST JPC Honorary Presidents attended the ceremony to communicate with the school principals, teachers, students and parents.

The Commissioner said in his speech that the project deepens collaboration between the Force and the NPO. A platform in addition to traditional schools is adopted to promote and recruit JPC members. The youths can keep obtaining crime prevention message via the JPC platform upon completion of the project. This will increase the extension and continuation of the project so that the Force and the youths will establish long-term partnership in fighting crime.

A ‘Share & Learn’ Crescent will organise free online English courses for 4 400 students of grass-root families over the next three years. The course materials include videos in which officers of MKDIST Police Community Relations Office explain information about crime prevention and awareness of being law-abiding to increase the youths’ knowledge about crime prevention and foster positive values in them.
