The Police Badminton Club and five disciplined services participated in Disciplined Services and Teenagers Badminton Competition organised by “Community Art” at the Police Officers’ Club on November 5. The event served to deepen teenagers’ understanding of the disciplinary forces and allow them to feel disciplinary officers' perseverance. Secretary for Security Mr Tang Ping-keung, Commissioner Siu Chak-yee, directorate officers of the disciplinary forces and sponsors attended the competition to cheer for the players and present awards to the winners.

President of Police Badminton Club cum Assistant Commissioner (Public Relations) Chan Tung led the team members to play in the competition. The representatives of Police Badminton Club won the Champion in Team Match (plate), Champion in the Senior Officers’ & Teenagers’ Doubles, and first runners-up in the Men’s Doubles.

The gap between the Force and teenagers was bridged through this badminton event. Before the competition, the organiser arranged a tour of the Police School of Foundation Training for a group of junior secondary students to know more about the Force. The Police Badminton Club will keep organising various activities and competitions to promote sports and team spirit by engaging different sectors of the community and the teenagers through badminton for promoting communication with the public and building positive image of the Force.
