A training day camp was organised for mentees of the Police Mentorship Progamme (PMP) at Junior Police Call Permanent Activity Centre and Integrated Youth Training Camp (JPC@Pat Heung) on November 26. JPC@Pat Heung had been used as a quarantine centre between March 2020 and May 2022. The training camp was the first activity organised by PMP at the centre since the outbreak of pandemic.

PMP mentees interacted with and learned from each other through various adventure activities and team building training to enhance their leadership skill, team spirit, and communication skill, which are potentials for personal development related to police recruitment. The mentees also tried the brand new facility of JPC@Pat Heung, the “Code Buster”, which is the only escape room in Hong Kong incorporating the concept of police stories. The mentees tried to solve puzzles in the role of the police, through which they learned crime prevention and anti-crime messages for enhancing their interest in police work.

The mentees have been substantially benefited from the training camp and their understanding with each other has been deepened. They will strive to join the Force together. JPC@Pat Heung will continue supporting different youth development programmes of the Force so that more youths will develop self-confidence and positive values through adventure training.
