The Hong Kong Police Force (HKPF) and the Indonesian National Police (INP) renewed the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on December 19, 2022 to lay the milestone of collaboration for the next five years. The MoU, which aims to provide a framework for bilateral cooperation in crime investigation, intelligence exchange and force training, has been signed by the Acting Director of Crime and Security Chung Wing-man and the Head of International Relations Division of INP Mr Krishna Murti.

The first MoU between HKPF and INP was signed in 2014 to establish close cooperation between both parties through organising various exchange programmes to enhance policing cooperation and personnel capabilities. HKPF has been committed to exploring international relationships and further maintaining close partnership with regional and overseas law enforcement agencies for enhancing the capabilities in combatting cross-jurisdictional crimes.
