Hong Kong Police College (HKPC) organised a two-week Foot Drill Instructors Course between November 28 and December 9, 2022. The participants came from ten formations, including Police Community Relations Office of various Districts. The course helped them deliver Chinese drill training to youth and schools in the future.

This was the first intake since the Force-wide implementation of Chinese Foot Drill on July 1, 2022. The 21 participants who completed the course were taught Chinese drill movements, ceremonial procedures, flag raising and lowering skills, as well as associated instructional processes, so that they would master the training and teaching techniques for Chinese foot drill and apply them appropriately in foot-drill training and relevant activities.

During the closing ceremony, Director of HKPC Wong Chung-chun encouraged the graduated instructors to showcase professional commitments by developing the youths’ senses of discipline, perseverance, team spirit and patriotism through delivering Chinese drill training as a means to facilitate their positive growth.
