To combat the increasingly rampant fraud, the Crime Prevention Bureau (CPB) held the Advanced Crime Prevention Training on December 16, 2022. Several representatives from the banking industry were invited to brief on global trends of fraud, payment risks in UnionPay Hong Kong region, credit card management risks and relevant suggestions on crime prevention.

Given the gradual popularity of drones and maturity in their technological development, CPB invited a speaker from a security equipment provider to explain how drones could be handled for officers to better understand the crime risks posed by drones.

The seminar was attended by around 100 officers from CPB and Regional Crime Prevention Offices, who found the session inspiring and conducive to enhancing their knowledge of crime prevention. CPB will keep inviting stakeholders to share the latest trends of crimes while amplifying the Force’s commitment to community engagement.
