To promote healthy lifestyle and encourage Force members to do more exercise, the Personnel Services and Staff Relations (PS&SR) Branch organised “Running Man 2.0” at Police Headquarters between December 1 and December 10 in 2022. Participants could choose to take part in Running Challenge to test their abilities or Fast Walking just to keep fit. Participants could also receive a souvenir after achieving a specific target within the timeframe. The event attracted over 200 officers who accumulated a total of 9 900km. Assistant Commissioner (Personnel) Chan Man-tak was present to show support at the cheering point. The top three colleagues were awarded the Individual Highest Accumulated Miles Prize and their records were 198.69, 171.28 and 156.9 km respectively.


Moreover, the event was responded enthusiastically by 16 units/formations with excellent results. Over 1 000 officers participated in the activity and accumulated around 33 000km. The Police Tactical Unit Headquarters won the Highest Accumulated Miles Prize with the record of 5027.38km while the Formation with the Greatest Participation Prize was awarded to the Emergency Unit of Kowloon West with a total of 149 participants.
