With the support from the seven disciplined services, a total donation of $2 million was raised for the Hong Kong Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics. Out of the total amount, the Force’s contributed over $700 000. On February 3, Assistant Commissioner (Personnel) Chan Man-tak presented the award certificates to the top three fund-raising formations, namely Hong Kong Island, New Territories North and New Territories South. Hong Kong Island has been the highest fund-raising region for five consecutive years.


Hong Kong Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics is an annual event organised by the Special Olympics Hong Kong to raise funds for supporting the athletes with intellectual disabilities to take part in local training and Special Olympics Games overseas. Due to the pandemic, participants completed the virtual run within the period from September 25 to November 24, 2022.
