The Hong Kong Police Information and Communication Technology Society (HKPICTS) organised the “Police Technival” at the Police Sports and Recreation Club on February 12 to provide a series of technology experience games to enhance participants’ interest and understanding of technology.


Deputy Commissioner (Management) Chow Yat-ming said in his opening speech that the Force not only continuously explored appropriate digital technology to promote police digitalisation, but also proactively promoted a culture of technological innovation and cultivated officers’ technology literacy.


The event was the first of its kind organised by the Force and supported by the Kowloon Chamber of Commerce and 12 IT organisations, uniformed groups and Force units, with the participation of over 1 100 Force members and their families. Participants could enhance their understanding of technology through a range of technology experience activities on drone operation and related regulations, communication technology, robot technology, 5G network applications, AI, STEM education, digital literacy and promotion of digital policing.
