The Regional Crime Prevention Offices (RCPOs) of New Territories South (NTS) and New Territories North (NTN) co-organised a large carnival at Pak Shek Kok Promenade on March 12. This carnival was coordinated by the two offices for the first time, with an aim to raise the public’s awareness on animal protection and deception through a more relaxed and interactive approach. The event attracted over 3 000 of participants from members of the public.

Regional Commander of NTS Mak Chin-ho, Regional Commander of NTN Tsang Ching-fo, District Commander of Sha Tin District Leung Tsz-kin, District Commander of Tai Po District Ma Wai-hing and community leaders officiated at the opening ceremony. Activities of the carnival included anti-deception game booths, dog adoption, magic show, police dog performance and reptile display. Officers and guests also joined the Force’s anti-scam mascot “The Little Grape” to spread anti-deception messages and advertise the new mobile application Scameter+.
