Kwai Tsing District (KWTDIST) hosted a cross-District cricket tournament for non-ethnic Chinese (NEC) youths under its Project Go Front at Gin Drinkers Bay Cricket Ground, Kwai Chung on March 5. Around 40 NEC youths from Project Go Front, Lantau District’s Project One World and Operation Breakthrough participated in the tournament, during which each team member exerted their utmost efforts and displayed great team spirit. Eventually, the Operation Breakthrough Team emerged as the champion. Trophies and medals were presented by Acting District Commander of KWTDIST John Carroll. This event not only brought together NEC youths from different Districts, but also boosted their self-confidence, discipline and team spirit through cricket matches.

KWTDIST has rolled out Project Go Front since August 2014, aiming to strengthen NEC’s sense of social belonging and encourage them to work with the Police to combat crime.
