The Hong Kong Police College (HKPC) and The University of Hong Kong School of Professional and Continuing Education (HKU SPACE) renewed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on April 12, which marked a new milestone for another five years of collaboration. The renewed MoU sets out the framework between the HKPC and the HKU SPACE to open a new platform for promoting engagement and exchanges amongst students of both institutions. It will also provide more channels and opportunities for police officers to pursue continuous learning, with a view to upgrading the professionalism of the entire Force. The MoU also offers credit exemption for the Postgraduate Diploma in Public Order Studies (Crisis Negotiation). 17 Police Negotiation Cadre (PNC) degree-holding members have been nominated to study this 9-month programme.

The renewal of the MoU marks a continued commitment of the HKPC to providing lifelong learning opportunities for Force members. Both sides will keep fostering a culture of continuous learning and seeking opportunities for officers to unleash their potential.
