Deputy Commissioner (Management) (DCP MAN) Chow Yat-ming, together with Director of Finance, Administration and Planning Tsang Oi-lin and Police Civil Secretary Ma Siu-hung, met representatives of seven civilian staff associations at a lunch gathering on March 31. The representatives came from Association of Police Translators, Association of Police Communications Officers, Hong Kong Traffic Wardens Union, HKSAR Government Traffic Wardens General Union, Hong Kong Police Force Telecommunications Technical Staff Union, Hong Kong Police Force Model Scale I Staff Association and Hong Kong Police Force Civilian Officers’ Union. They exchanged views with the Force management on the development of their grades and matters of concern to their grade members.

Speaking at the gathering, DCP MAN said that the three-year epidemic had brought unprecedented challenges to the Force. He sincerely thanked all members of the Force, including the colleagues from various civilian grades, for shouldering the additional anti-epidemic duties during the difficult time. The dedication and contributions of civilian staff in the fight against the epidemic were indispensable. DCP MAN emphasised that all the regular and auxiliary officers and the civilian staff were key parts of the Force. They worked together complementarily and supported the Force like a tripod. He hoped that all members of the Force would continue to work hand in hand for fulfilling the Force’s mission to maintain law and order.
