Senior Superintendent of Cyber Security and Technology Crime Bureau (CSTCB) Lam Cheuk-ho, on behalf of the Force, attended the tripartite exchange seminar on “Developments and Challenges of Emerging Cyber Crime” held at the Academy of Public Security Forces in Macao on July 4. As a keynote speaker, he gave a talk on “Strategies to Tackle Underground Industries” and shared his cyber policing experience to inspire the participants on applying metadata analysis and sharing as a means to enhance collaboration among public and private organisations for interrupting deceptive information at source.


The seminar brought together scholars and experts on policing from the Mainland, Hong Kong and Macao. Secretary for Security of Macao Mr Wong Sio-chak officiated at the opening ceremony of the seminar. During the seminar, the speakers scrutinised the trend and threats of emerging cyber crime. Issues in various realms, such as artificial intelligence, deep fake, underground industries and cyberattack, were discussed in depth, with a series of strategies to combat and prevent the crimes suggested.
