The Hong Kong Police College (HKPC) was invited to attend the 4th China-ASEAN and Neighboring Countries Police Academy Presidents Forum cum Law Enforcement Capacity Building Round Table Meeting on June 15. The meeting was co-organised by the Ministry of Public Security, Yunnan Province and Cambodia. The theme of the meeting was “Helping Each Other and Working Together for Mutual Benefit - Law Enforcement Capacity Building and Cooperation on Border Security Governance in the Post-Epidemic Era” and was held both offline and online.


Senior Superintendent of Operations Wing Fang Chi-kin gave an online speech on “Border Security Governance in the Post-Epidemic Era” to share Hong Kong Police Force’s four major law enforcement principles in maintaining the border security: establishing comprehensive intelligence exchange and communication mechanisms; intensifying joint enforcement actions; making good use of technology to enhance policing effect; and resuming international and regional training.


Over 100 representatives from China, Cambodia, Brunei, India, Laos, Myanmar, Vietnam, Thailand, Nepal, the Philippines and Sri Lanka attended. Representatives from the Lancang-Mekong Integrated Law Enforcement and Security Cooperation Center also attended.
