The Miscellaneous Enquiries Sub-unit of Sham Shui Po Division took over a death case of a 78-year-old male on April 11. All the next of kin of the deceased resided in the Mainland and were unfamiliar with the procedures of funeral matters in Hong Kong. Recognising the affliction of the family members of the deceased, Police Constable Hui So-kuk exerted her utmost effort to help. In addition to consoling them, she explained in details the investigation process and briefed them on the procedure of death registration. As a token of appreciation, the family members of the deceased presented a pennant to her before they left Hong Kong.

Frontline officers are always busy with their daily duties. Yet, as long as they treat cases with sympathy and empathy, they can surely maintain the Force’s positive image and reinforce public trust in the Force.
