To prevent criminals from manipulating youngsters to commit crimes during the summer vacation, Central District (CDIST) and officers from Hong Kong Island launched an anti-crime operation codenamed MINGLEFLOW to safeguard teenagers and combat related crimes. The operation, which includes promotion and education, high-profile patrols and intelligence-led enforcement actions, will be carried out by stages. It will focus on entertainment venues where juvenile delinquency frequently occurs.

Assistant District Commander (Crime) of CDIST Lam Kin-tat, along with volunteers from Junior Police Call of CDIST, conducted an educational promotion campaign in the bar area of the District on July 21. The campaign aimed to remind teenagers to be vigilant and protect themselves from drugs and temptation while enjoying their leisure time. Bars and shops in the area were also warned that they should not sell or supply alcoholic beverages to young persons under the age of 18.
