As many auxiliary officers are interested in joining the regular service after engaging in policing duties, the Human Resources Branch, Auxiliary Support Bureau and Hong Kong Police College are piloting the Auxiliary Selected Appointment Programme (ASAP), through which auxiliary officers at all ranks can join the regular service as police constables (PCs) after completing the selection process. In the first phrase of ASAP, which started in January, 14 auxiliary officers were successfully recommended to become PCs through ASAP. After 14 weeks of rigorous training, they completed the Recruit Police Constable Foundation Training and participated in the passing-out parade on September 16 to become regular PCs officially.

The second phase is now open for application and the deadline is October 6. The details and application procedure have been posted on the Force NoticeBoard.
