Kowloon East (KE) held “The Little Grape” Family Anti-scam Cooking Competition on October 21 to promote anti-scam messages in a more diversified approach. Members of Junior Police Call and Senior Police Call in the four Districts under KE participated in the competition. The competition comprised two parts. The competitors had to make a dish following the demonstration given by former Commissioner Lee Ming-kwai in a short video. Subsequently, the competitors had to conceptualise a dish containing anti-scam elements and materialise it with the ingredients provided on site.

Commissioner Siu Chak-yee, former Commissioner Lee Ming-kwai, Chairman of Hong Kong Army Cadets Association Dr Chan Chung-bun and Regional Commander of KE Dr Law Yuet-wing were invited to be judges. They worked together to prepare a “Commissioner’s Anti-Scam Salad”, signifying that the Force would continue exploring more innovative ways to deliver anti-scam and crime-prevention messages to the public. Moreover, the organiser ordered 4 000 “The Little Grape” Family Anti-scam Aprons for distribution to owners and employees of the shops in the markets in KE for them to disseminate anti-scam messages to residents in their neighbourhood.
