To raise the awareness of crime prevention and anti-deception among imported workers from the Mainland and non-ethnic Chinese (NEC) workers, the Airport District (APTDIST), in collaboration with the Regional Crime Prevention Office of New Territories South (RCPO NTS) and Airport Authority Hong Kong (AAHK), held a seminar on anti-deception and crime prevention on November 29, 2023 for the first batch of workers imported by AAHK, attracting around 50 imported workers.
Police Community Relations Officer of APTDIST Li Hoi-ling and Assistant Regional Crime Prevention Officer of NTS Wan Pik-yee shared with the participants crimes in Hong Kong that were related to imported workers, as well as the latest deception practices. The participants responded actively and downloaded the Scameter+ on the spot.
