Happy Chinese New Year!

In this Year of the Dragon, Hong Kong is advancing on the brilliant road from stability to prosperity. I firmly believe that Hong Kong will ride the dragon and soar under the joint efforts of all sectors of our society.

This year also marks the 180th anniversary of the Hong Kong Police Force. As good things come in pairs, the design concept of the logo for the 180th anniversary of the Force makes use of the Force Crest intertwining with the traditional Chinese ruyi knot to represent that the Force makes full efforts in unison to maintain law and order for charting a bright tomorrow for the citizens so that Hong Kong will continue to be one of the safest and most stable societies in the world.

I wish all my colleagues in the Force, including regular, auxiliary, civilian and retired officers, together with their families, good fortune and health in the Year of the Dragon.
