Guangdong
Chief Inspector Li Ka-ming led 19 police officers, together with Macao law enforcement officers, to join a five-day study exchange held in Guangdong Province between December 4 and 8, 2023. The officers visited Zhanjiang and Maoming in Guangdong, and were received by Vice Mayor of Zhanjiang Mr Huang Yibin and Vice Mayor of Maoming Mr Wang Guanzhong. Besides, the officers had on-site exchanges at Zhanjiang Police Station and visited historical, cultural and natural attractions.
Moreover, Superintendent Ching Chi-yan and Chief Inspector Lau Kin-hang led 23 representatives of the Force to attend the 32nd Study Programme of Guangdong Police College between December 18 and 23, 2023. The officers understood more deeply about the latest policing issues in the Mainland, our country’s development and national situation, the development of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area (GBA), as well as the co-operation on combatting cross-border crimes among Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao. The officers also visited some renowned IT enterprises, a local smart police station, the Guangzhou Police History Museum and Guangzhou Urban Planning Exhibition Center, and discussed with local officers about police co-operation between Guangdong and Hong Kong.
Shanghai
Superintendent Chik Hsia-yu led 27 representatives of the Force to join the 106th Mainland Study Programme of the Shanghai Police College (SHPC) between December 11 and 22, 2023. Being the first post-epidemic course attended by Force officers at SHPC, the programme covered the latest policing updates in the Mainland, the spirit of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China and development of GBA, etc. The officers also had on-site exchange with the public security bureaux in Shanghai and Nanjing. They also visited national museums and historical landmarks to enhance their sense of national identity.
