The Narcotics Bureau (NB) is organising the Anti-Cannabis cum Anti-Space Oil Drug Month 2025 from March to April for the public to understand deeply the dangers of drug abuse and enhance their anti-drug awareness.

Interactive anti-drug theatre

NB has been organising interactive anti-drug theatres for senior primary school students for three consecutive years. In the past two years, the theatre performed 91 shows in primary schools across the territory, delivering anti-drug messages to more than 13 500 students. In response to the challenge of “space oil drugs”, a new production titled “Space Study Tour - Interactive Anti-Drug Theatre” has been created this year. The storyline involves students facing various drug temptations during a space study tour, using an interactive and innovative approach to convey anti-drug messages to students. The principals’ preview was held on March 25, with over 200 principals, teachers and students from 60 primary schools.

Anti-drug promotion truck

The anti-drug mascot Mighty Cat has transformed into the righteous Nezha, joined by No-No, to promote anti-drug messages across the territory from April 7 to 20. The promotion truck featured the simulated drug scent identification experience and the new 3D post-drug simulation, allowing the public to grasp the dangers of drugs from multiple perspectives.

Anti-drugs seminars for teachers

The officers conducted anti-drug seminars for various educational groups, reaching over 1 500 primary and secondary school teachers to deliver drug-related knowledge and sentencing guidelines. Demonstrations of simulated drugs and drug-inhaling devices were also presented. The officers also visited tertiary institutions to convey anti-drug messages to college students.

International drug enforcement conference

Senior Superintendent of NB Chan Kong-ming and Senior Inspector of NB Tsang Hin-chiu attended the 68th Session of the United Nations Commission on Narcotic Drugs in Austria. During the conference, representatives made presentations on the drug situations of their respective countries or regions, and engaged in discussion and information exchange on strategies combatting transnational drug trafficking.
