Hong Kong has conducted test events at eight competition venues and for two cross-boundary events of the 15th National Games (NG) since November 2024. Deputy Commissioner (Operations) Yip Wan-lung and Director of Operations
Lui Kam-ho attended the last competition event, fencing test event, on May 31 for inspection at Kai Tak Arena.

With less than 160 days before the opening ceremony of NG, the Force is operating at full capacity for the preparations under the three-tier structure consisting of the NG Force Steering Committee, Police Headquarters Planning and Coordination Team and respective Working Groups to ensure athletes and spectators can enjoy the games in a safe, orderly and smooth manner.

Looking ahead, the NG Special Duties team of Operations Wing will continue to maintain close collaboration with Regions and various stakeholders to prepare for the coming mass participation events from August to September, torch relay activities, accommodation arrangements, accreditation and competition events, and to ensure that the highest standards of safety and operational efficiency will be upheld for all events and venues.
